TicketwavePH

How TicketwavePH Started Selling More Tickets Online

TicketwavePH was a ticketing site almost nobody had heard of. We built the store, then built the visibility to fill it through 800 creators, partner venues, and events, and 15,000+ tickets followed.

Become a Ticketing Name Filipinos Recognize

TicketwavePH began with almost no brand visibility. Orders arrived as Facebook messages, payments were confirmed by hand, and outside a small following nobody knew the name. What they wanted was bigger than a working checkout. They wanted to sit alongside the established ticketing brands people think of first when they plan a day out. So the engagement split in two. Build a store solid enough to carry real demand, then spend the rest of the time creating that demand through community, partnerships, and events.

About TicketwavePH

TicketwavePH sells admission to museums, galleries, and attractions across the Philippines, acting as the booking layer between venues and visitors. Their inventory works differently from normal retail: every ticket is tied to a specific date and entry window, and unsold slots expire at the end of the day. When we started, the business was running on a Facebook page and was largely unknown outside a small following.

The Route

A store on its own does not sell tickets, and a brand nobody has heard of does not fill one. We built the storefront first so there was somewhere to send people, then spent the rest of the engagement building the recognition and the demand to fill it.

  1. 01

    Storefront Build

Built the Shopify store from scratch with a lean custom theme, keeping third-party apps and scripts to only what the purchase genuinely needed.

  2. 02

    Timed-Entry Inventory Model

Set up products so each date and entry window is its own tracked variant, which prevents overselling and shows buyers real availability.

  3. 03

    Local Payment Integration

Added GCash and Maya alongside cards, so buyers could pay the way they already pay for everything else.

  4. 04

    Analytics Foundation

Set up Shopify Analytics reporting across the checkout funnel, so every later change could be measured against real buying behavior rather than opinion.

  5. 05

    The Wavers Community

Recruited and organized more than 800 creators into a named community, the Wavers, giving TicketwavePH a standing audience to launch to rather than an ad budget to spend.

  6. 06

    Merchant Partnerships

Worked with existing partner merchants on joint promotions, and brought new venues onto the platform to widen what the store could actually sell.

  7. 07

    Events and Collaborations

Ran events and brand collaborations that gave the Wavers something worth posting about, turning the community into recurring reach instead of one-off placements.

  8. 08

    Sponsorships

Placed TicketwavePH alongside relevant events and partners, building recognition with the audiences most likely to visit an attraction.

The View From Here

More than fifteen thousand tickets went out through a channel that did not exist when we started. TicketwavePH ended the engagement with three things it did not have before: a store that sells without anyone in the loop, an audience of its own to sell to, and a name that carries weight when approaching a new venue. Orders that once needed a person to read a message, check availability, and confirm a payment now complete on their own, including overnight and at weekends. Because ticket stock expires daily, that matters more than it would in ordinary retail. The Wavers community changed the economics as much as the store did, giving TicketwavePH a standing audience to launch to instead of buying reach every time a new attraction went live.

Thank you to the Hike Up team for all their help. They really listened to what we wanted, and they were always easy to reach whenever we had questions. We are happy and grateful to have them as our partner, and we look forward to more projects together.
